This is a bargain deck I've had surprisingly fair results with this ladder season. With the toning down of Yellow rush recently, it's much safer to run a deck like this that tends to be very vulnerable in the early turns.

While I'm not convinced this deck is one of the best in game right now, it's certainly fun to play and can definitely observe a positive win ratio in the current meta, when played correctly.

I I’ve witnessed the power of this deck!

I just built a deck yesterday that’s similar in theme (though with a slightly lower mana curve including Ancient Herald, the new 0/10 Lord of Terror, and Gabrian Enchantment) and it’s doing so-so in casual.

One of the first things I did was remove Ogre Dance and Blood Song (in favor of Red Devils and - in my case - more Bold Bargainers), because I felt that I would too frequently lower the cost of a card that I couldn’t (or shouldn’t) use yet, and risk lowering the cost of that same card yet again.

I’m very curious to know how have you gotten around this drawback of having nine In-Hand Cost Reduction cards? Or, is it just a necessary evil that the deck manages to float because of great overall value?

@wavelength Good questions. I plan on posting a guide to this once we have that working properly. The hardest part of the deck is card management and knowing when to play a cost reduction card or wait. Often times it is correct to do absolutely nothing on a turn when you could otherwise play cost reduction and hope it lands on the correct card.

It feels really great when you create a chain reaction of cost reduction that results in maximum value gained.

I will say though that running 3 Blood Songs isn’t necessary, but I like it for the consistency. You almost never want to play 3 Blood Songs unless you know your opponent won’t be hitting your orb again, ever.

Nice deck. Stormspawn is an interesting inclusion. How game losing is it to have a Stormspawn frogify’d? I’d be tempted to cut them for something else, but I’m super risk averse.

Thanks for the tips, Atmaz!

Ignus? Do you really want to get faeria off the power wheel? I found myself frequently hoping to draw into cost-reduction cards instead.
