A big downside to running any bargain list has traditionally been a lack of premiere reactive tools. The reason for wanting more proactive plays was that you would otherwise essentially block yourself from using more bargain cards until the discounted pieces were used up. Plague Bearer can be used both proactively as a collector or as a combo with Derelict Tower to immediately deal 2 damage across the board. The Tower can be used proactively too with its charges intact over multiple turns. Essentially this strike a similar vein as the Midrange Bargain made popular by Cappuccino back in the day:

This variant is a bit better at controlling the board and sets up bargain combos more consistently due to the mentioned inclusion of more proactive options. The tradeoff is having less from hand reach without the usual suspects of Flameburst and Seifer's Wrath. Also the unit quality is a bit worse on average since Underground Brigands and Axe Grinders are hard to top in terms of raw stat and Faeria efficiency. Ultimately I believe this to be a major improvement though. The extended width of control you get from combining copies of Groundshaker, Plague Bearer, Derelict Tower, Garudan, Hellfire and Ignus is definitely worth it.
Mindful play is still a prerequisite. That means holding Plague Bearer in the games where it's pivotal and can be contested with early from hand interaction like Soul Drain, Emperor's Command, Seifer's Wrath, etc. With the right piloting this can be an absolute menace to face.
Enjoy!
