Metashaker deckbuilding contest #5 - Oversky week #1 results

Last week you have been sharing your awesome ideas for the decks with us and now it is time to conclude what ideas are the best. Everybody was experimenting with the new Oversky cards and it was indeed a hard task to impress the judges. In the end what are the most original decks of Oversky week #1?

RY Haste Burn

It is a RY rush deck made by Reath which features Rakoan Chieftain and Crystal Flower. It uses a combination of Rakoan Chieftain and haste creatures to deal massive amounts of damage to the enemy orb. Crystal Flower is a nice tool to temporarily remove enemy taunts and blockers. The absence of red creatures on the deck allows you to open with mountains in the middle similarly to infamous GY Haste Combo (rest in pepperoni) which is very handy!

For the 1st place Reath recieves 5000 gold. Congratulations!

OTKish Doom Attack

It is a GY combo deck made by Al_Terramor which features Gift of the Rakoa and Intrepid Explorer. The gameplan is quite simple — play Cartographers and Village Elders to harvest, develop your forests and deserts and let your opponent flood the board with mighty creatures. Then Doomsday — and your opponent is left with nothing whereas your hand is full with Explores, Soul Pacts and Ruunin's Shrines. Next turn you are ready to rush towards opponents face with Yak Attack followed up with Gift of the Rakoa. Sounds fun? It truly is, try it!

For the 2nd place Al_Terramor recieves 2500 gold. Congratulations!

G Whale Rush

It is a green rush deck made by onnig90 that features Azure Skywhale. Yes, you read it right — it's a whale rush! This deck focuses on developing lands as fast as possible to drop big threats like Thyrian Golem and Azure Skywhale. Depending on your starting hand and Wild Growth randomness you, you may go either up the middle or up the wells. But either way Ruunin's Shrine and Feed the Forest will make up for the lack of harvesting. Surprisingly solid deck!
