Introduction:
This dec is a cool amalgamation of minion swarming synergies available in Green, Red and Blue.
You may be asking yourself, why those 3 colors? The reason is that I love the power and versatility of Frog Tosser and Emerald Salamander. Frog Tosser is great for value trading your opponents collectors while establishing your own aggressive lands by your opponent's orb. Salamander on the other hand gives you great buffing/trading options while being powerful enough to kill the small and nimble threats deployed by blue jump and yellow flier decks. These cards form the foundation for this deck's land base: 2 forests, 2 mountains and 2 lakes.
How To Play:
Vs Control and Midrange decks, you typically want to contest the same side as your opponent. Use combat tricks like Deepwood Stalker alongside your buffs to push your opponent off their wells and take them for yourself. Due to the natural synergy of using buffs on Rakoan Reveler and Underground Brigand, this deck can snowball quite nicely once you have well control. Use Frog Tosser to kill harvesters that are out of reach, then push for the win.
Vs Rush decks you want to play conservatively and build towards both your wells. Avoid building lands that your opponent wants to step on. Make smart use of body blocking to buy yourself time to build up your land base. If you can secure the first couple favorable trades then you can cluster your creatures together for a game ending Salamander play. Avoid keeping high land cost cards in your mulligan if you expect rush.
Possible Card Substitutions:
Rakoan Recruiter can be a good sub for shifting octopus, since it gives you more buffing options. The 0 cost 1/1 is great to save for your Salamander turn.
Taiga Explorer or Rainforest Explorer- We already have the land base to support these cards as either a 5/5 or 4/6. They aren't as versatile as Shifting Octopus, but they aren't bad either.
Special thanks to Lizard for his suggestions for improving the deck! I hope you've enjoyed the deck and the guide. Feel free to leave a comment here or ask me a question in the Faeria Discord, where my username is RevenantSC.
