I've been playing around with Kodama Beast Tender trying to make it work. You need to build the deck around it given the cost, and you can't wait around for a turtle deck to outclass you.
This has been the best version of the deck so far. It's a midrange buff and trade deck with mobility and removal options. I've gotten to around God Rank #20 - #30 with it.
Mulligan for Tyranax, Orphan Fugu, and Exotic Pet.
Tyranax and Fugu are sturdy early collectors which can challenge the opponent and are good for buffs including Hunt Down double trades. They also enable Ancient Boar.
Mid game you try to buff and trade while setting up the lands for the reward cards Ancient Boar and Mystic Beast. Once you have enabled these cheap beasts you will have Faeria left over for Kodama Beast Tender who can push their attack.
Late game is all about jumping around and using attack buffs and removal options (Deepwood Stalker & Hunt Down) to remove enemy threats then deal some vicious Orb damage.
Try to go up the same side as the opponent. The 2nd lake at the enemy well (for Mystic Beast) is usually achievable by dashing, jumping, or spawing Exotic Pet on the opponents back lands.
If the opponents first land is in the middle then you should also go middle and try to go to the same side. If he is rush it is important to keep landing up one side to the mystic beast spot - the rest of your creatures can defend while Mystic Beast / Orphan Fugu attack.
Note that a Deepwood Stalker dropped next to a Kodama Beast Tender does 4 damage. Also Exotic Pet can be dropped on any land (including opponents) next to Tyranax, Mystic Beast, or Orphan Fugu - useful for blocking / pushing more creatures forward / protecting a low health creature.
