Red and Green Rakoans

Rakoan champion and emerald salamander together make a more reliable replacement for crackthorn beast. Play it just like most other red green decks. Go up one side of the board, double harvest, and make value trades to wear your opponent down. If they set up a hard defense, use shadowsilk faerie or the zero-cost rakoans from your recruiters to harvest from the other side of the board without much risk.

Since war machine and recruiter only require one lake, I went ahead and threw them in, along with path to paradise to speed up land development. This deck uses firebombs instead of flame bursts or seifer's wraths because of the popularity of many creatures with 4 life. The extra damage will pay off, but keep in mind you only have 3 firebombs. You can't use them recklessly like you usually can with red decks.

For your starting hand you always want to look for rakoan reveller. Even if it gets hit with seifer's wrath immediately, that puts you one faeria ahead of your opponent. If you don't get reveller, rakoan warleader is a good start too.

You can try using rakoakopter instead of emerald salamander if you want, but it didn't seem worth it to me.
